About Us

Force 9 Business Solutions Ltd was started in 2005 by a group of business and technology consultants to deliver ERP-, CRM- and BI-related services to smaller and medium manufacturers and distributors. Having worked with MAX International for many years, we have the largest team of MAX consultants in the UK, all with at least 10 years experience of helping companies implement and use their systems effectively. Our skills cover all aspects of ERP applications and technical support. Our original business mission was to,

• Support MAX users for as long as they want;
• Work with users to identify a suitable replacement and provide a migration path;
• Build our business on the new product.

We have completed the first phases of this process and we have carried out a long and exhaustive review of the current competitive marketplace, Force 9 has identified Epicor’s Vantage Product Suite as the best of breed solution for the SMB sector and we are now an award winning Epicor Reseller.

Management Team

Derek Sanderson – Managing Director

Derek provides consultancy and project management services to a variety of clients, having successfully implemented business software in many manufacturing and distribution companies. Before founding Force 9 he operated independently for several years as Sandlaw, and prior to that worked for ICL and MAX International in roles ranging from systems development to consultancy, project and team management.

He has a B.Sc in Mathematics and Computing Science from Sheffield University, and is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner.

Justin Mossman – Commercial Director

Justin provides consultancy, implementation support services to a large number of clients. His areas of expertise include Windows Server, Unix and Linux operating systems and Informix, SQL Server and Oracle databases. Justin has run successful consultancy/support businesses for more than 10 years.

He has a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College, Cardiff and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.

Peter Betts – Operations Director

After an early career spent designing and programming financial, distribution and manufacturing systems he joined MAX International as an implementation consultant. He subsequently became pre-sales manager for the UK and then expanded that role as product manager for SMB products for Europe and Asia providing sales and product training and support to channel partners throughout the world. With over thirty years experience of ERP and related products he delivers a pragmatic and considered approach to providing cost effective solutions to business problems within a wide range of market sectors.

He has a B.Sc in Chemistry from Sheffield University.
